29 teams headed out onto Apache Lake today for the final Arizona Region event of the Weekend Warrior Bass Series presented by Anderson Toyota.

Taking the win was the team of Sean Coffee and Chris McKenzie.  Sean had to fish solo due to Chris coming down with the flue and managed to bring in 16.68lbs and taking home $1,400.

Finishing in second place was the team of Shannon Coppell and Tom Loughran.  Shannon and Tom weighed 15.73lbs taking home $880.

Rounding out the top 3 was the husband and wife team of Victor and Deb Cunningham.  Vic and Deb brought in a limit weighing 14.00lbs earning them $560.  They also earned an additional $50 for being the highest finished with the WWBS/Anderson Toyota contingency sticker on their tow vehicle.

The winnings didn't stop there for the Cunninghams'.  They also earned the 2014-2015 WWBS Arizona Region Angers of the Year.  For their accomplishment they will earn free entries into next seasons WWBS events and they also each took home a custom WWBS Angler of the Year Taipan Custom Rod.

Big fish of the tournament went to the fourth place team of Seth Furmanek and Chase White.  Their 5.68lb largemouth earned them $200 plus a SPRO tackle pack.

The DJ Custom Jigs first out of the money tackle pack went to the team of Joe Allred and Blake Dyer.  Joe and Blake finished the day in 7th place with 12.05lbs.

The Arizona Region Championship will be held May 2-3, 2015 at Roosevelt Lake launching from Windy Hill.  There will be tournament registration on Friday May 1 from 5:00pm to 6:30PM at Highway 188 Tackle.  The boat draw will take place at 6:30.  All teams qualifying for the championship need to notify me if they are fishing and can not make it to Highway 188 Tackle.
